What is Cteen U?

Cteen U partners with Yeshiva University to offer high school students the opportunity to earn college credits for taking engaging Jewish studies courses. Your teen will sign up directly with the university and be considered a full-fledged college student. Most colleges accept Cteen U credits; you can find a list here. If a particular college isn't listed, we're happy to inquire for you. To earn credits, teens will take a midterm and a final exam, both of which can be scheduled at a time that works best for them. Course Details

Who: For 10th-12th Graders

Where: JCC

When: 10 consecutive Mondays, beginning September 8

Please note: There will be no class on Rosh Hashana Eve (September 22), Sukkot Eve (October 6), or Shemini Atzeret Eve (October 13).

Time: 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Cost: Tuition for two college credits is $999. Financial assistance is always available – please don't hesitate to reach out to us!

Israel & Me: This course is designed to empower teens with the knowledge and confidence to understand and advocate for our Homeland. Whether doubts arise from social media, school faculty, or casual conversations, this course will equip your teen with the information and conviction to stand up for what is right, both in debate and most importantly, within themselves. Topics covered include the history of the Jewish homeland, IDF Culture, enemies of Israel, United Nations, contributions of Israel, and so much more.

 

School of Life: This course tackles the profound questions that often cross teens' minds: Does G-d exist? Can we prove it? Why do bad things happen to good people? What is my purpose? It covers essential life topics like relationships, faith, purpose, free will, suffering, and more. At Cteen, we encourage asking questions – and this course will help them discover meaningful answers.
